It's structured around the areas a children's chat app typically needs to cover — eligibility, acceptable use, liability — but the exact wording, your governing law and dispute-resolution approach, and whether anything here conflicts with your local regulations all need a real lawyer's review before this goes live. 1. Acceptance of terms

By registering a family account or using SafeWingsChat in any way, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. These terms apply to the parent who registers an account and, through that parent's acceptance, to each child added to the family — a child does not separately accept these terms.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old, and the parent or legal guardian of any child you add to your family, to register a SafeWingsChat account.
  • Child profiles may only be created by a parent or legal guardian on that child's behalf — a child cannot register their own account.
  • You're responsible for providing accurate information about yourself and any child you add.

3. The service

SafeWingsChat is a messaging app built around parental supervision. Every contact a child can message — inside or outside their family — requires a parent's explicit approval first, and parents retain visibility into their children's contacts and message history at all times.

SafeWingsChat is not an anonymous or random-match chat service. Every person a child communicates with is a specific, named individual approved by a parent — there is no feature for discovering or messaging strangers, and none will be added without updating these terms first.

4. Parent responsibilities

As the parent or guardian on a family account, you're responsible for:

  • Reviewing and approving (or declining) any contact request involving your child
  • Keeping your child's sign-in code reasonably private, and regenerating it if you believe it's been shared beyond its intended recipient
  • Actively supervising your child's use of the app — automated flagging (see our Privacy Policy) is a supplementary aid, not a substitute for your own judgment
  • Ensuring the information you provide about your family is accurate

5. Acceptable use

You (and, under your supervision, your children) agree not to:

  • Use the app to harass, threaten, or endanger any person
  • Attempt to add a contact using a share code that wasn't given to you by its intended owner
  • Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with any safety or supervision feature of the app
  • Use the app for any purpose prohibited by law
  • Attempt to access another family's account, data, or conversations
  • Send content that is illegal, or that exploits or endangers a minor in any way

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms — see Termination.

6. Content & messages

You and your children retain ownership of the messages you send. By using SafeWingsChat, you grant us a limited license to store and transmit that content solely to operate the app — including keeping it visible to a child's parents for supervision purposes.

By design, messages cannot be edited or deleted once sent — this is a safety feature, not an oversight, so parents can trust that what they review is a complete and accurate record.

7. Third-party services

Photo sharing via a connected Google Drive is planned but not yet live in the app. Once available, connecting a family's Google Drive to send and receive photos will bring that connection and any photos exchanged under Google's own terms in addition to ours. 8. Termination

You may stop using SafeWingsChat and request deletion of your family's account at any time — see Contact us. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, poses a safety risk to a child, or is used unlawfully, with or without notice depending on the severity of the issue.

9. Disclaimers

SafeWingsChat is provided "as is." While we build genuine safety features into the app — approval-gated contacts, keyword flagging, parental oversight — we cannot guarantee that these features will catch every risk, and they do not replace a parent's own judgment and supervision. We make no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

10. Limitation of liability
